I know im behind on the times and every knit one about a year ago, I decided to knit one also. So I had a little bit of a hard time in the beggining but it all came together, i decided to do it all in one piece sides and back. I got so confused I wanted to scream. But all is well now and Im half way through the body. I think this is gong to be one of my favorites for a long time. Next up Rogue.

Ok so I know it's been a while but this time I really have a good excuse. I have been spinning, Yes spinning. it is the best feeling in the world to just sit and spin. Some of my old friends made fun of me and said they cant believe it, But I dont care. But I didnt stop there.I started to dye my own. The reward is these pictures. So i figured I add some stuff to etsy and see wht happens and so far I got 2 sales. "exciting" I really love the dyeing process its so much fun when you see the end result of your creativity. its so rewarding andI get to share it with everyone else out there in the spinning world. Knitting is great. I just finished Mr green jeans from knitty not to happy with the yarn I thought it draped too much. I use debbie bliss cashmerino. I started yesterday central park hoodie with jo sharp silk road aran. i love the color it's purple blue very deep shade of both can wait to finish this one it's going to be beautiful.

I know I said I wasn't a big fan a few weeks ago, Well lied. I was looking through my draws and pulled out so many sock that I have knit throughout the years and wow I love them all. Sooooo !!!! I ran to the yarn shop and picked up some noro sock yarn and knit with this absolute beautiful yarn, A pair was born in two days. love it love it love it ! But the picture is not the noro, It is STR that I had in stash. Bought it as the MSWF way back. Im not crazy about the color orange but its nice when knit up. I have to think of someone to give these to. The bag was given to me by a wonderful person that was my SP, also long ago. Thanks Wendy? I still use it.

So on the personal level I need more hours at work so I am going to a temp agencies on wed. I'm not worried about finding work its just now that having a child seems like your looked down upon that your all of a sudden you are the unreliable one god forbid something goes wrong at the sitter or at home and you have to run. I do understand from the employee stance but at least give the person a chance. I can tell you on interviews in the past one of the first questions is do you have children? Why should that matter ! I could go on about this but I wont. I have to go and feed the child one of my stay at home duties. I don't stay at home all the time I do have a part time job, I need to make more money to get the personal bills down.

Knitting Crazed

Ok So lately ive been knitting till my fingers bleed. It's so weird I couldn't pick up needles when i was pregnant, I wasn't that into it throughout all of last year, I guess moving was a big part. I was working around the house getting every thing together but Lately I can't put them down and when it gets closer to finishing one project im looking for the next on line. So what im getting at is I was looking through my stash and I came across Socks that Rocks That i purchased at MSWF when i went long ago with fellow knitters Dani and Mary. Im not a huge sock knitter and I wanted to do something different with this beautiful yarn, now that im knitting with it I wish I were more into knitting socks. the indoor picture does it no justice I should take a picture during the day. I love the interlock pattern so Im on a roll. I normally don't like doing the same pattern for a scarf but now that I know it so well after I did the first one I could watch TV and knit put it down and not forget my place.

I can't believe it. time flies when your so busy with an almost 2 year old. Life is good. The little one is so much fun not so terrible as of yet but im sure she will be there soon. I do miss being able to just get out and sit at knit night at panera but work gets in the way, so for me as of now knitting on my couch is all I can get. Which is fine I am content. I have been knitting, a few hats for little miss and dad. I made another noro throw its beautiful. and a great interlock scarf in a great cotton I found in stash storage. I have to take a picture of it and post. I have to make this short not sure who's gonna read this it's been so long, I miss all my knitting friends and want to see them again soon. one day soon I hope. Hope everyone has great holidays, and a happy healthy new year.

Ok, I cannot believe it's been almost a year.time flys when your busy taking care of a child.
Life has been so great. So much has changed we decided not to move to Arizona. We bought a home in NY, It's all so crazy I know. we were both gun ho on going out west but I don't know what happened I guess our hearts are here and hey if we can do it without pulling out our hair so be it.
Baby its great she walks like a pro. She started at 11 months and now she runs around the house yay for her run run mom for me.

she is so smart, The whole vaccination thing just worries me so much I cant sleep, but she seems to be ok so far not sure about that MMR though. That's the one im loosing sleep over. I really think its every thing the children ingest and all the toys all the crap they are subjected to. I really do hope they find out what the hell is causing it al,l im wishing it was years ago they had a clue on it all.

Knitting. I have been knitting like crazy so many blankets due to all my friends having children. I have a shower tomorrow, one in April and one in May. I dont know where I get the time to do all this knitting but when you are a true knitter you find the smallest amount of time even if you lose sleep. Not sure that anyone will care to what I have to say these days but for those of you that do thanks for reading.

I finished this Pattern in no time. I used the extra Rowan Calmer that I had for another project, I love Debbie bliss patterns all you have to do is follow exactly what the patterns says and you'll be alright. I love knitting clothes for the little one they are so much fun Im on another project already it's taking a little longer to knit, im using sz 3 needles I seem to be going no where fast.

Well the Balloon fest started this weekend and Mark is on this weekend which sucks I'm gonna have to get used to his schedule ever other weekend. I just might go today although yesterday would have been the better day to go today will be more humid YUCK! I can't wait for the fall I am so done with summer. I need to find someone to go with But everyone is doing they're own thing.

Where have I been..

So Ive been busy busy, I cant believe it's been this long. But I have been peeking at everyone else blogs when I get the chance late at night. The little one is growing so fast, I do want another one sooner than later. But I don't see it in the card any time soon. So the little one is sitting up on her own and not sleeping through the night she gets up and entertains herself in her crib and then falls back to sleep and does it again every 2-3 hours it's crazy it seems like she just napping throughout the night and im up all that time listening to her just in case she cry's I cant sleep while she is up, I am a zombie throughout the day because she only naps for 20 mins a clip so it give me no time to even shower, and I feel bad leaving her in her stationary play seat for a little while when I do things around the house and get myself ready to get the heck out of the house. But it's all worth it when I look at her little smile. She is really good when we take her out like in restaurants she just sits there and watches everything that goes on around her, we can go anywhere with her and not a peep. She will be 5 months on Saturday and don't ask me where the time went. I am having so much fun with her I love her so much I can eat her up.

I do have finished projects as you can see Im so happy that Im home and able to knock out few projects ive been knitting like crazy, I started a few things and actually finished them the dress came out so nice and I took a look at on the Debbie Bliss Baby knits for beginners And I got the itch to knit a few jacket for her. The green is for the collared jacket a very quick knit it's knit with an Aran weight. I used Calmer from rowan. I had extra and I figured I would use it for this pattern. So now that I updated all on whats going on I have to tend to the little one she just got up.

So I recently had to take her to the doctor for an emergency visit because she was very irritable and started the not eating thing and I knew something was wrong, I was getting a little nervous so I called the doctor and they told me to come right in, I knew she was teething but I just wanted to make sure and I was right. The only thing that worried me was her ears were mild to moderately red the doctor said that it's all connected that usually happens. So I had to give her antibiotics and she felt better right away thank god. But all in all she is a very happy baby and I love to pieces. I really can't imagine our life without her and I know that feeling will stronger as the years go by.

What a great weekend. It started on Thursday all the way through till Monday. The little one was so good all weekend I thought I was going to be a basket case because of the heat it was very hot and humid and YUCKIE !!!! she fussed a little when we got to the big party on Saturday so I stripped her down to her onesee and she was fine after that. I have to say this weekend went very quick I hate that. Im happy the summer is here but I really hate to sticky days when you feel like your clothes are sticking to you. I really have to take photos of some of the knitting I've been doing Im so bad with taking pictures of my knitting when theres a baby in the house your camera automatically focuses on the little one.

I cant believe she is 10 1/2 weeks already. She is getting cuter by the day. This morning we experimented with a little rice cereal and she loved it, I should have taken a picture of that but the camera was too far to reach and I was having so much fun feeding her. I was really surprised how well she did with it I cant wait till the next feeding and I will have the camera on hand this time.

On the knitting front im still working on the little dress for the little one, and I picked up the noro blanket and added a few more squares to it, I never finished it in the first place because I knew it was too short and not wide enough. I shall have new pictures of the project in the next post.

Im having so much fun knitting this dress for my little one. It's the same one as Efrat made in green for little miss M just a bigger size so she can wear it when shes two years old. I also started on a sweater out of this book a while ago and never finished what else is new. I absolutely love shine sport from knit picks it's so delightful to knit with you all must try it, I put off ordering it for a while I don't know why I did I cant wait to finish this cute little thing.
So my little baby is doing great she growing so fast she 2 months already and starting to smile and coo. This is the fun part coming up I cant wait till I hear that little giggle she already cracks me up when she tries talking back to me she just too cute I want to eat her up. I Love being mom so much there is not enough words to explain my world today. Oh and by the way we didn't pose her finger like that, When Mark turned around and looked at her he ran to take a picture of her like that we were hysterical laughing.

All is well, Im really enjoying being a mom it is the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life, And I know it's rewarding now I can't imagine in all the years to come. it's funny, yesterday I was showing little miss M some flash card and she seemed to be looking right at them making faces. I hope she was soaking them all in, I told my friend what I was doing and she said I was a Nut!!! and I said hey it cant hurt, so little by little shes learning all the colors and shapes I don't think is to young to start. I feel really bad when shes just sitting next to me and gazing off into I don't know where it gets me worried a little with all the things that I read about Autism. she looks into my eyes which a good sign but all else you start to question.....
It's so scary being a parent you just want your child to be ok and all you do is worry and Im not the worrying type but these day I seem to be. Its all so crazy.

On the knitting front. I bought a new book it's called ITTY BITTY HATS from Susan B. Anderson It's got the best little and creative hats on the planet. Im on my next hat its pink and on the top of the hat will be white petals like an upside down flower it's the cutiest little thing. I will leave you a picture of the Little one.

I know the nice weather is coming but she always can use hats to keep her little head warm. Not much to report only that shes doing the normal baby things. EAT POOP and SLEEP. Very strange to say how having a child really makes you look at things in a different way. The little things really don't matter anymore, But for some reason you become much nicer and more understanding, not that I wasn't before having a child. The most amazing thing is I never Imagined my life would be the way it turned out to be today. you truly look back on your life and it just has so much more meaning and I am very content. All I ever wanted was a simple life and I am right where I want to be.

As for the whole experience, Well not as bad as I thought it would be until she wanted to get stuck and come out another way, Which by then I was so disappointed because I was really a good pusher as the doctor said. But pushing for 3 hours when the doctor said I think its time, I though lets do it I was so scared. But its over and now I have this little bundle of joy. And its the best thing that ever happen to my life.

I couldn't help myself I had to start this sweater I had so much blue skys left over and plenty of it. The only thing I didn't do on the sweater was the lace front but as im looking at it as im kintting Im wondering if I should have. "Islander game on Saturday" And what a great game it was. We had such a great time. They played buffalo sabres and won 5 to 3. Right before they got on the ice Mark wanted to take a picture of my belly with the background that you see here. I have better pictures during the shower I just have to get on the computer, But It was such a beautiful shower we had the best food I was loving the mussels so much I asked for another plate. So as the guests were coming in and placing the gifts in the back area I was dying inside thinking where the heck am I going to put all of this in our house, It was all so overwhelming and very touching at the same time. I was sweating while opening every thing and everyone was so generous it was really really nice. So the next day I was on the floor in our room and Mark peeked in and laughed and said not to move and got the camera and snapped this shot, every thing was all over the place so you could imagine why I thought what I did while looking at the gifts at the shower. Ahhhhhhh! but we found a place for everything and now all the chaos is over for now and stan our cat is settled he was a basket case when all the packages were in the living room he didn't know what to make of it with all the weird and different smells. He's Ok now thank god I was getting worried for when the little one gets here. But I know that will be another adventure. Bye for now I will get the other pictures up soon.

I said I wouldn't buy any more yarn and I went surfing and ran into some Lornas laces shepherd socks from simplysockyarn.com and did the total opposite. And I love the crystal palace needles and put 6 inch size 3 crystal palace double pointed needles into the shopping cart Whats wrong with me? I have to say Lornas is so beautiful and so soft. As you can see Im on a sock kick and I can't stop somebody help me. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

The other day I was blog surfing and I came accross a whole lot of blogger that knit sock and more socks so I went looking through the yarn bins I have in the attic and I found these and I got right on them, and then im looking through an old knitting bag and I found another sock with the second ball of yarn to start the next sock and I started that one at 3:30 this morning due to severe heart burn and the baby kicking me to no end, I don't think she like the spicy calamari. But 7 more weeks and the shower is this weekend coming I know I shouldn't know about it but I do. you can never keep those things a secret.

Alright I went back to the bin to see what I had that I started and did not finish and there she was the blanket that was meant for my child that I started about a year or so ago and now it was time for me to finish. I love it and it's so much fun to do almost like quilting with out the sewing machine. I figure I should be done with it next week when I take my car in for the recall I received for the ball berrings so I have about 3 hours to kill I should be done.

Wednesday night in the City, We stopped at St.Marks Place and eat at CHIPOLTE, I love that place the Mexican food is the best. We trecked in to see the Fab Fau the Beatles Cover band they were so good they played at Webster Hall. I haven't been to that place in years back in the club days. What a great night, But I payed for it when I had to go to work the next day but called in sick there was no way I would make it through to 8 o' Clock PM. So I stayed home and cleaned all day. That was enough work.

Every thing came back ok with the blood work no need to do the 3 hour test thank god. But the only thing the doctor did say was that my hemoglobin level was lower than the norm and she asked me if I was taking my vitamins and I paused for a second and she knew right away and said I needed to keep up with them ahhhhhh I felt like an ass when she said that because I know better. Last night I felt like crap after work I felt like I wanted to died I had really bad abdominal bathroom pains, but they subsided. Not much really to report except I knitted a baby hat while I was waiting to do the glucose test,I didnt finish it till yesterday and tied in all the ends last night. Thats it for now..... Yea, Yea I know Im getting bigger. As of now Im almost 29 Weeks which makes it 1 week into my 7th month, She kicks like crazy. I can't wait to meet this little girl. The shower plans are all in the works Jan 13th it is. I can't wait to see all my friends from my old job in westchester, I hope they all make it. Other than that I have been knitting a whole lot I made arm warmers with cascade angora yarn, I have to say they are the fuzziest things and it gets in my eyes. Very Annoying. I will post a picture of them later, I have to charge my camera batteries. I have a few days off so I ran to the library this morning to get some knitting books I put on reserve so I can sit and snuggle on the couch with a cup of hot coco and the blankets over me tonight Because its so freakin cold today in New York, and read and copy patterns.... Shhhhh , Don't tell anyone.
Also this morning I had to go to the lab to take the glucose test YUCK!!!! that was so gross, It tasted like orange flat soda and you had to drink it in 5 minute's and then wait an hour and then they take your blood. "my favorite part". It always creeps me out when they wipe you vein with the alcohol pad ugg, I just know whats coming next and I work myself up but its really nothing I just hate the feeling. I started on hand knit holidays flip top mitten I just kept going and figured I would just make a mitten instead. I used Araucania Natures wool in lime green that Ac Moore had on sale and I paired it up some other purple yarn that araucania puts out not sure of the name. I did get the idea from good to be a girls web site hers were coming out great and I love mittens so I felt the need to make a pair.

I refuse to buy any yarn when I have a yarn store in my house. I made the hat out of all the hand painted yarn that I bought a while ago from Uruguay its very similar to manos just a little more coarse. And the hat pattern is from hip to knit ribbed hat I just converted it in the round . And the bonnet scarf is from Knit 2 together and I used blue sky alpaca in chocolate.

Do I look prego. I have given you guys a belly shot yet because I really have nothing to show. I registered today and I had the best time doing it better than when I registered for the bridal shower. We are having a girl.. We found out on Saturday at my 20 week Sono. I can't believe it. I am so Happy. So it's official Baby Mia !

Knitting : I have been doing a lot of it and really need to take pictures of all the projects. I made a blanket for the baby but its blue and white thinking it's a boy so all I will have to do is embellish it with pink and what ever else I can think of for a girl. Im also making another blanket for Mia I must take a picture of because the pattern is so cute its fuzzy with a huge pink heart in the middle so Im going to start today... Im so glad the guessing game is over, now when I go into the stores and go straight to the pink section.

And later tonight we will be going out to dinner for Marks

B-Day he is 37 today.

Its My favorite Holiday. I like this face I made on one side it's Very much like one of the nightmare before Christmas faces. I know im being lame and showing you some knitting content from the past but thats about all I have. I am working on a blanket or two and still putting together the Noro squares blanket. Im Almost done.

This morning was so amazing, I still can get over what I saw, there is a baby inside and I don't feel a thing. Holy cow. Well it was sleeping and wasn't moving for the sono tech so she was poking my belly for it to move around and finally it did and it was so amazing it was stretching it's legs and moving around trying to get comfortable, I cant believe I didn't feel anything I can't imagine how big Im going to get. So far you can't really tell, and im going into my 4 month I don't now what that means but I feel great and Im counting my blessings

I know I Know , Im sorry for running so far away. I've just been so caught up with this whole pregnancy thing and have been working my Butt off to save save save! You know how it is live on Long Island. We are looking to buy a house by next summer I can't wait to get out of this house only to have more space but believe me we will miss this house because this is where it all started. But by this time next year we would be ok.
Kitting is starting to spark my interest again, I started knitting a blanket for baby. Not sure what it is yet but we should find out Last week of September, But I started to knit with white and almost started with the blue, But feel once I do that it will be a girl and then we'll have to try again for the boy in a few years. So far I have a tiny little belly nothing to write home about I honestly cant wait till I have a bigger belly so people will recognize me as a pregnant woman than a young pleasantly chubby girl ! I really don't care but truth is I wanna look pregnant, weird Huh! Im have a wonderful time so far and enjoying every second of it. Queasy part of the first trimester subsided and on to the so called best part of your pregnancy, Can't wait. There is one of several sono's coming up this weekend the babe is three times the size of the first pic I posted. Will keep you posted.

1st sono and no knitting

Well I have to confess I have no desire to knit a thing, I don't know what's wrong with me im hoping im not the only one that went through this. Im afraid if I start knitting a blue blanket it will turn out to be a girl and if I knit a pink blanket it will be a boyyou know how it works But I think mark and I are leaning toward finding out what it is, Mom don't be mad at me ! its gonna be just as exciting to see the child when on that special day. So I just started my 9th week and I feel great the only thing is I cannot breathe at knight and some thimes through out the day, But Im not complaining ill take not breathing over throwing up any day. So the picture is when I was 6 weeks 5 days the head and the body are the same size. This whole thing is so fascinating to me although I can't read any more I think I've read enough, I could have passed the maternity exam for mark. I will keep you posted.

Thank you everyone for the best wishes and congratulations. So far so good no sickness and I feel great so Im keeping my fingers crossed for it to stay that way. Its been a while since I posted. Time flys and I've been so busy with work and the lovely weekend we are having I don't have to go back to work until Thursday. Last night Mark and I went to see EXTREME at foxwoods with some friends and they were so good By far the best concert I've seen so far they were amazing. But enough of all this, how about some knitting content.

Here is what I have been knitting up since we got back from vacation Maybe a week after we got back, there are thirty of them and I still need eight more, I love all the colors, Im thinking of sewing them together with a solid color and then knitting an I cord along the edge with a skein of kureyon. I think that will work. Sorry for the short post gotta fly we are going out for dinner tonight I gotta get ready.

Ohhhh Yea, We are going to have a baby... I guess Cabo San Lucas was a very relaxing vacation.

So when we got back from vacation I wasn't quite myself and I knew something was different.

So last Tuesday I took the test at work and it came out positive but that wasn't enough proof I had to take another and another and they were all positive, YAY!!!! Im very excited so is Mark and his parents and my parents of course being this will be their 1st Grandchild. But all in all I feel great no Nausea I just feel like im cramping every day but mild cramps. My due date you ask, well I went to the doctors on Thursday and every thing went well and every thing was official and I felt so relieved after I left the office my first sono will be on July 8th and so on and so forth and my Due date is March 1st and I am exactly 4 weeks. It's all so very exciting and in the same hand im scared to death. I think every woman goes through it. and to Nanc I guess I was hiding a little secret in the picture after all, I just didnt know it.

Chic Cami Finished It is so wonderful to have something you made and it's on your body the next morning.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning I know you think Im crazy but My allergies were out of control so I need to get out of bed and sit on the couch and watch spiderman 2 blow my nose and continue to finish this up. And I did. The only thing I didn't do was block it ,although I don't think it needs it.

I did do the icord straps which worked out fine Im very happy with this kind of strap for this top, It doesnt roll of flap over , it stays flat and looks great. I was really suprised that it stayed flat.

Knitting update. I am almost done with the chic cami, I really want to wear it tomorrow but it's not looking to good, My hands are starting to ache. But I have decided to start a NORO throw that I had seen in the Mason Dixon book last night when I cozied up on the couch with finally. So I looked over at the cubby that I have full of Noro and thought, Hummm I dont have enough of one colorway to make one sweater of something significant, So I thought well why not a very cool Noro blanket, just make up a whole bunch of squares and sew them together. So when I am done with the chic cami and the somewhat cowl that will be my next project.

And this is the chic Cami. this is what I was doing on vacation untill the needle busted. The yarn is the chocolate brown Blue sky alpaca from the ebay bid I won for 9 bucks for 5 skeins now thats a deal and a steal. So I have been working on both things crazily, I hope to finish this week, But Im really missing my Denise needles it seems like when using them the project feels so much more smoother. I really hate the purple susan bates needles, YUCK!!!!!

Here is my somewhat cowl. Almost done, I backed off it for a little while and started a new project and I hate myself for doing that, I alway hear the little voice inside my head saying dont start another project dont start another project. And what do I do. Start another project. I think everybody does this. I dont know how anything gets done, I still have the stupid sock I started also that I have not payed any attention to Im so mean I know, And I love the yarn I just have a bad attention span when it comes to my knitting.

You have no idea what its like to be away from your loving kitty. Im sure for all the cat lovers out there do understand where im coming from. I missed him so much, Just look how content he is. Ooooooh! I can squeeze him with all the love I have for him. When we were away Mark had expressed how much he missed him he just had the image of Stan on his back with his paws up in the air for Mark to scratch his arm pits. hehehehehe!

Well where do I start.

Well for one there are so many pictures that you need to scroll down to look at. It was way to beautiful. I was so impressed with the fact that I got on that damn plane in the first place, Im kidding I had a pill for that. But really the thunderous sound of the surf was amazing while swinging back and forth on a hammock and being able to do absolutely nothing but sitting by the pool and eating authentic Mexican food and knit was what I was longing for for months when we first booked this trip. But words cannot explain the beauty of it all. It was a huge party town, clubs everywhere and food places like taco shacks on every corner. We ended up going to dinner with the other two guys and afterwards we maybe spent a couple of minutes in a club (my club days are so Over) and after Mark and I went on our own and took a long walk back to the hotel to watch the star and listen to ocean on the beach which was so wild, the stars almost touched the ocean - that's how low they were. AMAZING!!! It was very Romantic.

But on the knitting front I did so much of the Chic Cami But for some reason My Denise size 6 needle decided that she had enough knitting and snapped on me half way through I lost some of my stitches and I had to set it aside, So you can imagine how lost I was after that I had no knitting and all I had was my Jodi Picoult book " My Sisters keeper" to read and hoped to finish. But It was really hard to read or knit in the sun because it was so hot so you had to keep jumping in the water to cool off But it wasn't Humid so it was hard to judge. All in all there was a lot of laughs with Buddy and Eric and all of us together we had such a great time I would do it again in a heart beat But I was really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here. There is no place like home.

Yes Paradise it is, Just look at the surf, But the beach was not swimable, unless you had a personal vendetta. Because you will not be able to swim out of those waves.

Everyone I know Has to get there butts to Cabo once in there life-time.

Just to walk all the way to lands end which is almost a mile down the beach, it is so worth it between the waves crashing and the rock formation You dont know what to look at first. Its breath taking.
